Project Overview

The contract for this project consisted of constructing a box-type R.C.C. bridge over the river Betwa, in Jhansi.The structure consists of vault slab joining the ribs underneath. The superstructure of the bridge was continuous in three spans with 3.6m. cantilevered at the ends. The roadway was 7.5m. wide. Masonary piers of 15.25 m height are set in open foundations of Granite and Dolerite. All foundations were suitably anchored with bed rock
