Project Overview

The project involved the installation of 8,000 LF of 24" and 30" HDPE temporary sewer bypasspipeline down a streambed and through 1, 100 LF of tunnel.Blasted rock excavation, demolition, and construction of 8,000 LF concrete encased, new Hobas pipe sewer line through a tight, urban canyon. The installation included 6,900 LF ranging in size from 24", 30", 36", to 48", with the remaining 1,100-1,200 LF "Tight Fit" liner (24" folded HDPE). Includes two siphons, several restricted live lateral taps, pipe bridges, the construction of special anholes,and tie-in of 9 various sized laterals under flow conditions. During construction the work was exposed to sudden storm flows, restricted access, and restricted work hours in an environmentally sensitive area.
