This oil refinery of one million tonnes capacity is located at Barauni in Bihar. The Company executed the entire civil works for the atmospheric and vacuum unit, kerosene treating unit, cooking unit, contract filtration unit, ethyl blending plant, mechanical shops, thermal power station and the storage tank foundations.
Works included R.C.C. raft foundations for storage tanks with capacities of 100 cu.m. to 5,000 cu.m., R.C.C., in situ and precast superstructure units for columns, beams, piping support structures and roof slab. Certain buildings were provided with steel structures, wall AC sheet cladding and roofing. Other items included reinforced brickwork, heavy duty flooring and associated building finishes and about 4,00,000 sq.m. of
shuttering.
